The Family Adams Project

1880-1930: Fifty Years of Unique History of a Fenland Community

Helena g Anderson has been a photographer and interior designer for many years. She is very delighted to be involved in the Family Adams Project.  With her in-depth knowledge and experience of space and light, and her attention to detail, she is well placed to understand the importance of photographing the historic ‘J H Adams & Sons’ store in Littleport.

Her photographic work will include photographing the existing buildings, exterior and interior; [original] shop products of historic interest, such as original Norwegian skates, hundred-year old nails and hinges (yes, drawers and boxes full); the office ‘library’, such as ledgers, order books, catalogues etc.; historic material gathered by other members of the team; and the scale model of the shop, premises and yard. Helena will also be photographing some of the workshops and meetings, and, of course, next year’s celebration and exhibition.
